There will be no Property Tax Opt-Out Election in the Bridgewater Emery School District for the $350,000 General Fund Property Tax Opt-Out. The deadline to file a petition to bring the Property Tax Opt-Out to a public vote was Tuesday, February 13th at 5:00 p.m. No petition of referral was filed with the School Business Office, by the required deadline. The Opt-Out of the General Fund Tax Limitation, in the amount of $350,000, will start with calendar year 2024 taxes, payable in 2025. This opt-out will be for five years, which will be through taxes payable calendar year 2029. This action was not referred to a vote, and therefore authorizes the county auditor to spread an excess levy, to raise tax dollars, in the above stated amount.
