All events are for ages 13-18.
Learn to Play Magic: The Gathering – April 27th – 1:00 PM – Library Teen Room. Explore the world of Magic: the Gathering. Learn the basics of playing—rules, cards, objectives—and then start playing. All skill levels are welcome. You can bring your deck or build one using the cards at the library. The first hour will include a basic tutorial on rules and deckbuilding.
Game Night – May 7th – 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM- Library Teen Room. Play board games or video games from the library collection. Snacks will be provided.
Blackout Poetry – May 11th – 2:00 PM – Library Teen Room. April was National Poetry Month. To celebrate, the library is hosting a teen blackout poetry creation and reading on May 11th at 2:00 PM. This event is free to attend.
Brain Booth @ Mitchell Public Library – May 6th to May 16th – 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM – Library Teen Room. The last few weeks of the semester can be stressful. Visit Mitchell Public Library from May 6th to May 16th to use the library's Brain Booth, which offers hands-on activities to encourage mindfulness, attention, and contemplation. You can color, create origami, play a game of chess, or work on a puzzle. Drop in between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to use the Brain Booth. The Brain Booth will not be available on May 7th during game night.
