The Freshman Impact program will be held in Alexandria, SD on Wednesday, September 18 and is a required part of freshman orientation and our freshman curriculum. All freshman will attend the program beginning at 8:15 AM and will conclude at 3:00 PM. Bridgewater Emery High School accepts the liability of our freshmen students to attend the program under our transportation insurance policy.
The one-day program features hands-on activities, demonstrations and speakers with real life experiences and is an invaluable part of preparing students to make healthy lifelong choices. Bridgewater Emery High School uses this program to assist in preparing our youth to deal with issues like peer pressure, texting while driving, impaired driving, teen suicide awareness, bullying, underage drinking, and drug abuse. Freshman Impact will be considered a part of our health and physical education curriculum.
